BBNaija Today keeps data collection to the minimum a news site needs. Here is the full picture.
What we collect
- Fan polls: when you vote we store a one-way hash derived from your connection details to stop duplicate votes. We cannot turn that hash back into you, and we do not store your raw IP address with your vote choice. A small cookie/local-storage flag remembers that you voted so the poll shows your result.
- Feedback forms: whatever you type, plus the page you sent it from. Adding your email is optional — only do it if you want a reply.
- Comments: standard WordPress comment handling applies if commenting is open.
What we don’t do
- No advertising trackers and no sale of data.
- No account required for anything on the site.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to see which pages are useful (page views and country-level location only — no individual profiles).
