This page explains how BBNaija Today decides what to publish. Short version: confirmed facts fast, rumors clearly labeled, corrections immediately.
Confirmed vs rumor
- Confirmed means it aired on the official broadcast/live feed, was announced by the show, or is backed by at least two independent reliable sources.
- Rumor — unverified means it is circulating but does not meet that bar — this label appears in the headline area, not buried in the text. Leaked “voting results” are always treated as rumor until the show confirms them.
Updates and timestamps
Tracker pages (evictions, voting, housemates) are living pages: we update them in place and show a “Last updated” time in WAT. News posts get a visible correction note if a fact changes after publishing.
What we don’t do
- No pirated streams or links to them — we only point to official ways to watch.
- No rebroadcasting show clips. Screenshots appear only as brief, commented excerpts; full clips live on the official channels.
- No fabricated quotes, no invented feuds, no body-shaming.
Corrections
Report errors via the footer feedback link. Verified corrections are applied as fast as we can get to them, with the fix noted on the page.
